Nicole Fuentes is a dancer, choreographer, and visual artist based between Paris and New York City.
Her work explores the embodiment of temporality through dance and installation, examining notions of identity, collectivity, and chance within structural systems created for performance. She seeks forms of unison through patterns of movement within shifting spatial dynamics, investigating the relationship of spontaneity and synchronization through temporary alignments between performers and their environment.
She has performed works by Amy Gardner, Thang Dao, Stephen Mills, Rachel Cohen, Dance Lawyer, Isabel Legate, amongst others. Her work has presented at Pageant, Arts on Site, Otion Front Studio A.I.R, Alanna Miller Gallery, Elma Gallery, The Downtown Festival, The Front Festival, and School of Contemporary Dance and Thought. She has done movement direction for Totokaelo X Issey Miyake, Beyond Noise Magazine, Thinx and music videos for Lola Kirke and Lighting Bug. She is a Certified Pilates Instructor and holds a BFA in Dance from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts.
